CLUB VOLLEYBALL TEAM LEVELS
CLUB VOLLEYBALL TRYOUTS:
The evaluation window (tryouts) for the 2025-2026 club volleyball season will begin on May 5th, 2025. Verbal or written non-binding offers without signature(s) may begin to be made by any club to any player in the region at this time. Official binding written offers and exchange of money is not allowed until the acceptance date (July 8th, 2025).
DEA will be hosting a series of pre-tryout clinics and skills clinics leading up to tryouts on Monday, June 30th & Monday July 7th, 2025. Please use the links below to register for our Pre-Tryout Clinics and/or Tryouts.
TRYOUT INFORMATION
MONDAY, JUNE 30th & July 7th @ WESLEY PREP (9200 INWOOD ROAD)
10U, 11U, 12U: 6:00 PM – 7:30 PM
13U, 14U, 15U: 7:30 – 9:00 PM
BLACK TEAMS
Our Black teams are our highest team level, with the highest level of commitment.
• Black teams will have 1-2 travel and/or national qualifier tournaments on their schedule.
• They will have 9-10 total tournaments on schedule.
• Teams will have 2, two-hour practices each week.
• Expected to work on their own outside of practice, on both
volleyball skills and conditioning.
• Should seek out regular private lessons and plan on attending skills/positionals
• Practice space will be in/close parameters to Highland Park/
Park Cities Area
WHITE TEAMS
Our White teams are our middle-tier teams. They require a high level of commitment, but players on these teams have more leeway with missing games or practices.
• All tournaments will be local to DFW Metroplex
• 9-10 tournaments
• Teams will have 2, two-hour practices each week.
• Players are expected to work on their own outside of practice.
• Regular private lessons, skills and positionals attendance is encouraged for this group,
especially if their goal is to make a Black team.
• Practice space will be in/close parameters to Highland Park/
Park Cities Area.
NEON TEAMS (ACADEMY)
Our Neon teams are our lowest competition level and lowest commitment level teams. These teams are ideal for players who want to play club but may also be multi-sport athletes.
• Each team will have (1) 1.5 hour team practice and (1) 1 hour skills practice each week, beginning early September through the end of May.
• Teams will compete in all (3) seasonal Sportsplex leagues (Fall, Winter and Spring) and 4-5 local USAV Club tournaments. These tournaments will take place across the DFW metroplex.
• Expected to work on their own outside of practice; coaches will provide them with drills and conditioning to do at home.
• Private lessons are encouraged for this group, both if they have the time, and if their goal is to place on a White or Black team in the upcoming season.
• Practice space will be in/close parameters to Highland Park/Park Cities Area.
*Travel fees for players and families are not included in team fees and are an additional cost you should expect to pay.
